Yay for posting-surveys

Comment, and I will...

a) Tell you why I friended you
b) Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a colour, a photo, et cetera
c) Tell you something I like about you
d) Tell you a memory I have of you
e) Ask something I've always wanted to know about you
f) In return, you must post this in your journal.

I did some version of this a while back. But I was getting tired of my old journal, and wanted another one.
Might be uploading things soon. I've volunteered to do some origami for the NTWF TCG, so I may or may not upload that onto here.

Summer is pretty good. I'm in my second week as a math tutor at a local community college. Mostly, I'm tutoring algebra and pre-algebra, but there are also some people taking calculus. It's 29 hours, 6 days a week. It pays well, and much of the time I don't have anything to do. Any job that pays me to read webcomics for half the time I'm there is a good job. But all sarcasm aside, being a tutor can actually be a very fulfilling job--especially when a student you've been working with for a while finally gets the material.
I've got a whole list of things I want to read over the summer. I'm just four or five pages away from finishing Olympos, the second of two books in an Iliad-inspired science fiction story by Dan Simmons. I'll be starting on Nine Princes in Amber next, the first of a series of fantasy books that, from what I've been told, are very good. Should have plenty of time to read during tutoring and the bus rides to and from.

That's all the news that isn't. Now, post!

  • Listening to: A song stuck in my head that I can't identify
  • Reading: The Great Book of Amber
  • Watching: Assorted shows on the net
  • Playing: Subeta
  • Eating: Nothing
  • Drinking: Saliva

Huzzah!

Haven't seen you around much, then again I don't see too many people much anymore. :(

a) I make a point of stalking everyone I know on DA. And fantasy critters are always fun.
b) Mythical creatures.
c) You've got a knack for coming up with new character designs, which is something I can't begin to fathom.
d) Fun times in KOLD! And that pic of Nick...*crackup*
e) I've always been really jealous of where you live. Does the area around your home inspire what you draw?

Weee. :3

1. Glad you like them. It's mucho hard to find fantasy buddies in...the 'holy land.' Bible belts...oy.
2. Teehee, my name did have dragon in it!
3. Really? You think so? I just kind of thrown stuff into a pot and hope for the best, really. Save for Faust. He's my character whore. He's my oldest behind Flare.
4. xD Why must you remind me?
5. Mmm, I wish it did. It does make me feel more relaxed, though! You are more than welcome to pop on by someday! You'll get chiggers and ticks, and we'll just have a regular redneck Christmas. xD

1. Eesh, I can only imagine.
3. Heh. Well, that's as good a strategy as anything, I suppose.
4. Because it was full of win and mindburning, THAT's why!
5. I'd love to! Not for a while, but I'm planning on doing a world tour after I graduate (2 years), and might stop by then.

1. Haha. It is insane. I'm just like *hides dragon picture*
3. Yup! I'll have the urge to draw something, and instead something comes out completely different.
4. Haha. This is very true! Quit reminding me that. xD
5. Well, good luck with that! I don't graduate for another...well, 2 either! Then I have another 4 if I get into vet school! Bring an animal down and I can fix it. xD (Says the girl who just called the vet to do the dirty work for her)
